One job, done properly
Plenty of paddlesport clubs still run river trips from a paper sign-on book. EddyIn takes that familiar routine and makes it digital, and then stops.
The sign-on book is a good system. It is quick, everyone understands it, and it works in a gorge with no reception. Its problem is that there is one of it. It sits in somebody’s car while the club officer who needs it is thirty miles away, and the trips from three seasons ago are in a box somewhere if they exist at all.
EddyIn exists to fix that one problem. Record who is paddling, see the trips that are out right now, confirm the headcount before pushing off, keep the emergency details readable when there is no signal, and know when everyone is back. Then keep the record.
It would be easy to keep adding to that. Bookings, subscriptions, equipment registers, coaching logs, committee minutes. Clubs are offered software like that regularly and mostly do not use it, because the person entering the data is a volunteer who would rather be paddling. EddyIn deliberately does not go there.

Honest about limits
No safety promises EddyIn cannot keep. Where it stops, it says so.

Emergency contacts are treated as what they are, and kept off devices that do not need them.
